
As committed followers of Christ, the members of the Alameda Classics for Christ Ministry will become more like Christ through Spiritual, Service, and Social Activities by: Reaching out, Encouraging, Loving and Nurturing.
Spiritual
Goal: Increase our reliance on the Bible as we age, through prayer, study, meditation, commitment and service. Worship is about pleasing God and includes all aspects of our lives.
Opportunities/Activities: Prayer Ministry, Weekly and Special Prayer Breakfasts, Prayer Support Team, Early Mid-Week Service, Sunday Bible School Classes, LIFE Groups, Special Studies, Evangelism and Missions
Social
Goal: Increase the opportunities for Christian-based events and be a fellowship that enjoys each other’s company. Create a sense of community and ministry.
Opportunities/Activities: Social Event Trips (Day, Overnight/Weekend, Tours, Campaigns and Overseas), Trips for Brotherhood Lectures and Seminars, Classics Monthly Fellowship Meal, Classics Game Day at Alameda, Classics Coffee Time, Classics Book Club and Classics Quarterly Luncheons
Service
Goal: Use our abilities and gifts to increase our service to fellow Alameda Christians and others in need. We were saved to serve God and others, called to serve God and others and commanded to serve God and others.
Opportunities/Activities: Streams of Water Ministry (food pantry, clothing closest, etc.), Hospitality Events (Guess Whose for Dinner?), Visitor Follow-up, Adopt a Widow(er) Program, Hospital Visitation Program, Work Days, Handyman Program, Shut-ins Visitation
